Hi, I’m Jessica!

In April of 2024, my life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 28 years old. I was determined to heal myself without conventional treatments. Some people thought I was crazy, while others were incredibly supportive!

So why not just go through traditional treatment? Well, I believe that this cancer has been brewing my whole life, and I wanted to get to the root of it. Growing up with an abusive father, living on junk food, never taking care of my body physically, working at a toxic job, and lacking self-love. This was a perfect storm that led to my diagnosis.

While my cancer isn’t gone yet, I take steps every day to heal by improving myself emotionally, physically, and mentally, while also fueling my body with the nutrients it needs to support all of that. But no one is perfect! There are days when I don’t feel 100%, and that’s okay. We all go through different seasons.

I started this blog to share the knowledge I’ve gained on health and wellness (and that I’m still learning) in hopes of inspiring you to live a healthier, happier life. Along the way, I’ll provide tools, recipes, and product recommendations that have worked for me. Take what resonates, and leave what doesn’t. It’s all about balance ☺️.

A glimpse into my life

I was born and raised in Colorado. While I am not the biggest fan of snow I love living here, especially in the summertime. I am the happiest when I am surrounded by nature. I love going on hikes, exploring little mountain towns, and enjoying picnics with my family.

My incredible partner, Isaac, and I met in high school, started dating shortly after. We have been together for 10 years now! In 2019 we welcomed a little furbaby, Bagels, into our lives. Just two years later, our family grew again when I gave birth to our son, Carter. Throughout my twenties I was told it would be hard for me to conceive, so his arrival was both a surprise and a miracle. He brings so much joy and laughter to our lives.

Health and wellness has become a huge passion of mine. After being diagnosed I realized how important it is to take care of my mind, body, and soul. This journey has led me to prioritize self-care and practice compassion for myself. I’m learning to love myself more and more every day and also giving myself grace when things aren’t “perfect”. My hope is to be your gentle nudge toward creating a life that is full of balance and well-being.
